QuestionMy mum has recently injured her back and a disc is touching one of her nerves causing her great pain. She is however able to do somethings (but not sit for long periods of time), but now she is having numbness in her big toe and gets alot of pins and needles when she lies down. She has weak bones and we thought there was a big risk with surgery. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanking you
AnswerI am a member of a group of chiropractors that use a gentle technique to help relieve the discomfort caused by disc injuries, excellent for the elderly or individuals with weaker bones. The group is called SOT (sacro-occipital technique, and we are located all over the US and Europe. You can locate a doctor near you by going to www.sorsi.com or look in your phone book under chiropractic and ask them if they use SOT techniques. I am located in Minnesota near the Twin Cities and would be more than happy to see her. If you have any other questions or concerns or need help locating a doctor, please email me.
