QuestionIn the past three years I have had pain in the bak of my left shoulder. I went to a chirporacter and now I have pain in my left hip and I still have pain in by shoulder. I have to tighten my hip to fell better. And my shoulder has a crackling sound when I make a circle with my arm. What should I do and what is the medical term for a shoulder specialist or a hip specialist. I should also mention that I went to a orthopedic and they basically sent me to a phyiscall therpaost, which I tried and it did no good. Where should I go from here and what is the name of a hip and shoulder specialist? Thank you
AnswerAn orthopedic doctor is the correct term for a specialist of the shoulder, hip, or any other kind of bone. It sounds like you've seen one already.
At this point, I might consider seeing an osteopath, a doctor that has general practice training but specializes in body manipulation similar to chiropractors. I believe that you would get a good overall review of your condition and an appropriate treatment to relieve the pain.
Thank you for your question, Kays. I hope that my answer points you toward some relief.
