QuestionIm 16 and for about a month now when i lean forward there is a strain in my mid back. it doesnt hurt any other time... there is a minor bump on my spine.. ive also noticed when i do sit ups everytime i come up i hear a pop it doesnt hurt but everytime it makes a popping noise.. im just making sure its nothing serious.. thanks 4 taking the time out 2 read this hopefully you can give me an answer. thanks again.
AnswerSounds like you have some tight muscles that are pulling on ribs or vertebrae in a funny way.
Try this: when doing sit-ups, before every sit-up, do a slow "arch backward" with chin up and arms and shoulders back. Inhale into arch; exhale into curl.
