Question
Hi! Lawrence
my name is rev and i am 23yrs of age. When I was 8yrs of age i fell off my grandfathers 2 story house and was given the all clear. However at the age of 17 i started getting tightness in the chess, loss of hearing which was due to middle ear infections, face numbness and twitching on the left side of my face only when i turned my head.I feel so tight around the chest and shoulder area.I have had a brain scan which came back clear because sometimes i get dizzy and get headaches,i've also had an x ray for any broken bones or injured nerves which came back negative.I've also seen an ear throat nose specialist and even an neurologists and there baffled.Do you think it's just nerve related?because my left arm has hardly any strength in it and i cant even rotate my arm because it gets locked and it hurts when i raise it up for short periods of time.

Answer
Dear Rev,

Well all of the medical experts have examined you, run diagnostic tests, and come up with nothing to explain your symptoms, right?  Okay, time to try a chiropractic physician.

These types of unexplained symptoms can come from altered spinal structures, inflamed or irritated nerve roots, or spinal cord stress due to an alteration of the vertebral structure. Your x-rays need to examined for biomechanical alignment, not just fractures...by the way you cannot tell if the nerves are injured or irritated from an x-ray...you can only look at the structure of where the nerve lies and give an opinion on the amount of room there is that may encroach upon the nerve.

I would seriously recommend that you give chiropractic care a try.  We can often give patients significant relief from the symptoms they have, which have not been previously helped or understood by the traditional medical route.  Why, because we are trained to look at things more from a functional and structural perspective rather than from a pharmaceutical or pathological perspective.  Medicine and chiropractic care often overlap in diagnostic and treatment approaches, but the differences between the two disciplines is what makes each profession important to explore for treatment options.

Respectfully,
