Questioni had surgery on my disc t1 and 2 in december.they put plates and screw and a piece of my hip there.i am still continue to hurt there and i have had more mri"s nad the dr. says there is nothing wrong and there is nothing he can do for me. is there something else i can do to stop the pain.
AnswerHi, James.
Surgeries typically provoke a reflexive muscular reaction to the pain of the surgical wound (called Trauma Reflex); muscles get tight and generate pain.
In addition, the condition that required the surgery to begin with may be just that same pattern of muscular contraction, which may also cause nerve impingement, disc degeneration and pain.
