Question
Hello,
My son just turned 11 a few weeks ago. he moved up a league hitting 13 year olds. He is 100 lbs and he was tackled with his head between his knees, picked up and slammed while still in fetal position to ground on his spine fracturing t6 and t8. The MRI showed an enlarged spinal column. Is this normal for this injury or could he be suffering from something else besides the football fractures?

First of all I apologize for not responding sooner as we recently had twins and I am helping out at home as well as running my practice, so I am sorry.
Now, can you send me via email attachment the MRI's?  I would like to get a good look at them if possible to give you a better opinion about your son.
