Hemangiomata

Question
Hi, I have been having a lot of "neurological" problems.  Right side (rt arm and rt leg)weakness, heaviness in both legs, numbness/tingling/burning on rt side (face, arm, leg), severe headache, nauseousness/vomiting, problems talking (stuttering, pregnant pauses when trying to speak, and confusion/short-term memory loss), and rt foot turns blue when sitting or walking.  All of these symptoms worsen upon walking.  All CT's and MRI's have been normal.  The only thing that shows up on my MRI is the following:
"There are small rounded areas of increased signal in the T9, T11 vertebral bodies and in the right T12 pedicle.  These have increased signal on both T1 and T2-weighted images and are compatible with small hemangiomata. Mild disk bulge at L5-S1 with disk degeneration" I know hemangiomata are benign, but can be related vascular disease.  I have a strong family history of PAD and other vascular diseases.  What do you think could be causing my problems, and what kind of doctor should I see?  I am at my wit's end, and it is really affecting my quality of life.  Thanks in advance for your guidance.

Answer
Hi tacy,

Hemangiomas are tricky to remove since they are in the spinal canal, that's why you need a good neurosurgeon to evaluate the possibility of removal. Get several opinions and go with the one you feel most comfortable with.

Good Luck!
