QuestionHello, several months ago i was involved in an accident at work. the scaffolding i was working on collapsed and i fell about 6 feet to the ground and landed on my feet. I got pretty boogerd up with lots of black and blues. After a few days went by i started having pain in my neck and lower back. First i had x-rays done, they were ok. Next was a bone scan, that came back negitive. Next was a mri that came back telling me, Findings there is mild narrowing of the AP dimension of the canal at the lumbar level which appears to be secondary to congenital foreshortening of the pedicles. Very small broad-based bulges are identified at L3-4 and L4-5. No frank disc herniations are seen. Cervical report, the osseous structures demonstrate normal marrow signal intensity. there is a broad-based bulging center to the right at C6-7. this narrows the ventral epidural space to the right midline. there is mild facet hypertrophy on the right at this level. A very small broad-based bulge is identified at C3-4.????????? It has been nothing but a back and forth game between doctors. One says possible surgery and other says you will heal in time, Dont know how long. I just had a injection for headaches, they gave me a shot in the back of my head,?(oxycipitol nerve) It did not work. this is getting old i am tired of being sore all the time. Sleeping is horrible, I cant lay still it hurts and the meds they gave me to sleep make me feel like trash the next day. Do i need to get away from workers comp. doctors? thank you for your help.
AnswerGary,
It sounds like the doctors they are sending you too are horrible. what state are you in? Do you know if you can pick your own Workers Comp Doctors in your state or are you stuck with whom they assign you to?
Do not get surgery until we talk further, I have found that over 90% of the surgeries performed were un-necessary and are irreversible.
