QuestionHi,
I'm female, 20 healthy. But have a history of acute back and neck pain which usually susbsides within 3-4 days. However, this time... I have no idea how I recieved this current episode resulting in tingly hands and feet. I've been to my chiropractor but I don't think it helped. Mostly my right side has one spot on my neck, two on my shoulder and 2 beside my shoulder blade. I have been dealing with these symtoms for about 5 days now and Im getting concerned. Any info will help and if needed will consult a doctor for futher information. Thank-you.
AnswerRaeanne,
Well it is apparent that your situation has progressed an gotten worse from just a back and neck pain to additional symptoms such as the tingly hands and feet.
I am sorry to say this, but since your condition is progressing and you are under the care of a chiropractor, it is evident that you are to discontinue going to that chiropractor in the future. Now, with that said this is a chiropractic problem, it is just not one that the chiropractor you have decided to go to can help. Does that make sense?
In other words, this is still most likely caused by a Subluxation, which is a misaligned bone in your spine that irritates your nerves and causes abnormal function (always) and pain (sometimes).
The best recommendation that I could give to you at this point is to go to an Upper Cervical Specific Doctor and get an evaluation and X-Rays performed. After that point you will know for sure if this is indeed a Chiropractic problem and also that you are in the right doctor's office.
If you are in the Midwest Region, you could come to our St Louis Clinic for your evaluation otherwise, you can send me your town and state so that I may locate a Doctor that can help you, fair enough?
I look forward to hearing back form you soon.
Yours in Best Health,
