QuestionHi I'm 24 years old and have this extreme pain in my ribs and spine, I went to the doctor today and he told me that I have posterior spurring. My question is what exactly does this mean? He said its c4-c7 what is that? Is there anything I can do besides put hot compresses on it, they don't seem to help. I was given a prescription for the pain but I am breast feeding my 3 month old daughter, and I just don't want to mask the pain I would like to fix the problem. Also when I get this pain I first become extremely nauseated, have you ever heard of something like this?
AnswerPatricia,
Do not take any medication whatsoever while you are breastfeeding. I don't care what anyone says about it not getting to your baby, it is not true.
Now, the most logical means that I know of consists of no drugs or surgery whatsoever to harm your baby. It involves locating and correcting the cause of the problem which is inside.
If you would truly like to correct the problem and not settle for masking the symptoms, then you will need get under the care of an Upper Cervical Specific Doctor.
You are welcome to come out to our clinic in St Louis, we can set you up with a brief visit or a 2 or 4 week intensive care program.
Otherwise, I will do my best to find someone else that could help you.
