QuestionMy doctor has stated that I do need to see a neurosurgeon for the problem I have. We are trying to find one in my area but having trouble due to me having been injured in an MVA. Something about mal-practice issues. How can I find information about neurosurgeons in my area? How can I find out if those are good neurosurgeons with experience in fixing my problem? Is there a website that has them and their history with this type of surgery?
AnswerRobyn,
Have you had spinal surgery before? Do you have any X-Rays or MRI's of your spine that you can email me?
I would like to look at your films first because you have no idea how many people are recommended for surgery that actually do not need surgery.
As a mater of fact, over the years, every single patient that has consulted with our clinic after being recommended for spinal surgery has NOT needed to go under the knife. So far we have not had to send 1 patient for surgery after being under our care, so there is hope.
If you can send me your films I can help you much better at that point, unless you just want to have surgery then we probably would not need to talk any further. I do not know of a way to find good neurosurgeons because well frankly I help all patients to not need their services.
