QuestionI was involved in an accident June 19th 2009. The car I was driving rolled twice. I hit my head (which I didn't realize til the next day while washing my hair), have back and neck pain and I get these headaches. I have been in therapy for about 5-6 weeks. My back pain is getting better. My neck still has stiffness in it and there are days that it just kills me. I get these headaches that won't go away, my doctor put me on midrin. He still hasn't ran any other tests to see if there is something else wrong. My question is: Why is my head hurting so bad and why do I get these headaches every day? What tests should I ask my doctor for? Why is it like I have to pull someone's teeth just to get some help or answers?
Thank You.
AnswerSorry for the delay, Casey. As I chiropractor, I get this question and problem ALL the time. There is a very close relationship between the neck and head, especially from the top cervical bones. A good Google search for cervicogenic headache, or cervicogenic migraine, should get you going in the right direction. I've written a page about it on my website, www.dynamicclinic.com under the articles section. Check it out. If that seems to be your headache variety, go tot a chiropractor and get it gone.
Hope this answer helps.
