Answer
Aletta,

What this all means is that you have had some changes to the vertebral bodies of the spine.  The lumbar area is made up of 5 vertebral bodies stacked on top of one another.  With age, trauma, or bad mechanics we can develop disc herniations or bulges.  From L3-S1 you have some bulging of the discs.  On each vertebral body there are two facet joints.  Those joints help with bending forward and backward, side to side and with rotation.  On all of the levels mentioned above you have some overgrowth on the facets.  On the levels of L3-5 you have stenosis.  What that means is that the canal that the nerve exits has become narrowed.  Are you in pain?  What this all means is that something you are doing or have been doing has created some changes in the spine.  No amount of mm herniation of the discs was mentioned so I can't tell you how severe the bulges are.  I hope this helps you to understand your MRI report.
