QuestionHello,
I am hoping you may be able to give me some advise as I am at a bit of a loss.......
A year ago I started to suffer from Coccyx Pain (there was no cause for this, no fall, no accident etc); and eventually in October 2011 was sent to have Manipulation of the Coccyx with a Spinal Epidural, the treatment was successful. However around 3-4 months later i hurt my back lifting something heavy at home, i went to the Chiropractor several times for treatment and the problem went away. They believed i had a bulging disc and that the treatment i had for my coccyx pain may have been a causing factor in this due to the muscles weakening with the epidural etc.
Then at the end of February 2012 my back went again, i literally got up from the sofa and had the most excruciating pain for several hours, i called my Dr and they believed i again had a bulging disc and that it was irritating my nerves. I went to the Chiropractor again but after several treatments and no improvement went back to my GP who referred me to the Hospital and I am now having treatment at the Spinal Clinic again with no improvement.
I am wondering if i really have a bulging disc and am concerned that now after 8 weeks have seen no improvement and in fact this week felt even more pain!
I struggle to get up out of bed in the morning as i am extremely stiff and then i sit at a desk all day with the most unbelievable pain in my lower back, i get a numb right leg but no pins and needles. Sometimes the pain will get more intense for a very short period and the pain almost completely ceases when standing.
I am just looking for another opinion really and some one to put me at ease.
Many Thanks
