QuestionPlease suggest a way to relieve sore ribcage(center of the chest) and outer back muscles (running down the shoulder).I'm doing a workout once a week including pushups, crunches, sit ups which is causing the soreness, had never done these exercises before. I sleep on an airbed that might be causing the back pain too. What exercises can I do to relieve the pain & what kind of sleeping surface would help my back .Thank you.
AnswerHi Kebhisha,
Sorry to hear about your discomfort. Some of your soreness does sound like it is unavoidable as it is the result of using muscle groups in your workouts that aren't used to be worked out. The good news is that the soreness usually passes as you get into better shape.
Also, my completely free website Do It Yourself Joint Pain Relief.com
http://www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/
has many techniques that might help you as well.
Specifically, the Upper Back Pain Relief page
http://www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/upper-back-pain-relief.html
would be good one for you.
And although I don't have specific pages for the center of your chest, if
you do the press-pull-release technique,
http://www.do-it-yourself-joint-pain-relief.com/joint-pain-relief-techniques.htm
on that area and others, it should help.
I doubt the air mattress is causing your issue, as mattresses usually cause lower back and hip pain.
Bad pillows cause neck pain. So I think you are in the clear there.
I do hope this helps.
All the best,
Gary Crowley
