QuestionI'm not sure what type of arthritis I have. My right thumb has a big bone sticking out from the side. It is very painful to touch. I can't open cans or bottle too well. It swells often and I get pain throughout the day. At times, it is very difficult to use a pen or pencil.
AnswerCynthia,
Have you seen a doctor about this? It not you should. If it is arthritis and is affecting only one joint then it is most likely osteoarthritis. It could also be a bone fracture or there are other possibilities.
I wish you well.
