However, I had written a follow-up at the end of that question which you didn't see. I just followed the format for asking follow-up questions and the first question remained at the beginning. I did thank you for your advice and promptness and then I asked what types of arthritis did you feel my symptoms suggested. Please go back and read the follow-up question at the end of my last correspondence with you. Thank you.

AnswerThank you, Rusty, for your very quick response. I'll make an appt. to see a doctor; problem is that I'm new to the area. Would you please give me the names of the other types of arthritis that are symptomatic of swelling and "bite marks" that I've mentioned?
It is a very hard question to answer. Because there are literally over 200 things is could be. Among arthritis is could be Psoriatic Arthritis, Lupus, Crest Syndrome and others. There are types of vascular disease (blood vessel disease) that can cause these symptoms. There are skin diseases that can also cause swelling and allergies in the environment you are in. The reason I did not mention them in the first email is that this is not the place to suggest the possibility of a diagnosis. There are so many factors to be considered that cannot be described that it important to see a doctor.
I wish you well
Rusty.
