Question
The oa in my back would this cause everyday stiffness and some pain in my hips knees and legs? allso  i am finding that little things as climbing stairs turning to fast ect' can hurt my back most of the day where every step i take pain shoots through me. is this normal?

Dear Ann,   Degenerative arthritis, also known as osteoarthritis  in the spine can and usually does end up causing problems in the hips and therefore you will also have trouble with the legs....

My suggestion is if you are not already seeing an Orthopedic doctor/specialist, then you need to start seeing one and probably need to get some physical therapy ordered as well... A family doctor or arthritis doctor just are not as good about treatment of OA as an Orthopedic specialist....
