QuestionAll my muscles in my body ache.My arms are sore
when I raise them above my head.My shoulders,
neck,lower back,knees,legs,ankles ache.
I have degenerative disc problems in cervical and lumbar area, archilles tendonitis ,slight muscle
damage in arm.
Was tested for Rheumatoid arthritis came out neg.
Also had lots of blood work, testing for antibodies
and infections.Had the procedure where they stick
long needles in my muscles and no pinched nerves.
My ankles ache so bad it feel s like a constant tooth ache.
I was told that there is not test for regular arthritis.
They said it could be fibromyalgia but I don't have those pressure points and can sleep through the night. It's only hard getting to sleep.
What do you think this sounds like or any other test that could be done to find out.
Does it sound like arthritis to you.
Thanks
AnswerDear Debbie, I do not know what you mean by "regular arthritis".... If you had the RF blood test and it was NEGATIVE, then you do not have Rheumatoid arthritis... However, you can get x-rays to check to see if you have Osteoarthritis.... Unfortunately, osteoarthritis does NOT effect the muscle in the body, but the JOINTS and BONES...
I would suggest that your doctor send you to an autoimmune specialist to have more tests done for fibromyalgia, lupus, and other types of autoimmune diseases... You should possibly also have a muscle biopsy to check for Muscular Dystrophy......
There are too many possibilities as to what this could be and TESTING is the only way to find out....
thank you, karen
