Question
My legs feel like cement is holding down. It hurts to pick something off the floor or to sit in a chair for a long period of time.  I have spoken to my Dr. about this problem, he said that it was arthritis.  I can deal with that but surely there is something to sooth the pain. I like to swim, walk, I even jump on the trampoline with my grand children, but lately it's become painful to do these things.

Answer
Did your doctor say what type of arthritis? If it's osteoarthritis, you're doing the right thing by keeping active and there are some over-the-counter and prescription medications that can help you stay that way.  Your doctor may not have realized how active you are.  Talk to him about what type of arthritis you have and what medications may help you ease or eliminate pain.
