I have a mctd which is causing me great complications. What is the best course of action in dealing with this disease as my syptoms are now affecting my dailing living?

I'm sorry you're having to deal with these complications.  I encourage you to find a rheumatologist who has had experience with MCTD.  It may not be easy, but you can start with scleroderma specialists listed at the Scleroderma Foundation website - www.scleroderma.org.  It may also involve some travel, but I can say from my own history that seeing someone experienced with the disease can help so much it's worth it.
