QuestionPlease help! I've been to every type of doctor I know of and I still don't have an answer! For two years my feet and ankles have been swelling to the point where they won't fit in shoes. At first I was told it was tendonitis, but all of my doctors tried treating that and the swelling never went away. I've have more blood taken and tested than you can ever imagine and I still don't know what it wrong. My heart, liver and kidneys are supposedly fine. The best answer I have been given so far is a hint that there is some sort of rheumatological disorder that doesn't show up in blood tests and makes you gain 2-5lbs by the end of each day. I've done ridiculous amounts of research, but can't find anything about it online anywhere. I was hoping you would have some sort of insight on this matter. If not, I can't be any worse off than I already am now. Thanks!
AnswerHi Kim,
With the limited amount of information I have I would hate to speculate. I need to know your age, onset (history of trauma? was it gradual or sudden, family history), what tests were done on the heart, CRP levels and if a food allergy panel was performed. I think finding a go internal medicine doc would help since finding a cause shouldn't be that difficult. I really need to see all that was done so I can help with what should be done from here on. If you would like, send the info to my e-mail and I can assist you further.
