Arthritis?

Question
Over the last year or so I have noticed that my hands will become sore and stiff if gripping something for too long, also on my right hand(middle two fingers) I have what feels like bone spurs of some type on the joint between my finger and palm which hurt with any pressure. Could this be the beginning of Arthritis? I am 50 and in very good health. If it is can I stop it from getting worse and are there any vitamins or minerals I can take instead of pain relievers?

Thank you for your time and info.
Sincerely
Deb

Answer
Deb,

Yes, this could be the beginning of arthritis. If it is arthritis the soreness should be centered in the joints of your hands.

The first thing you should do is to see a doctor. It is not a good idea to try and treat something when you do not know what it is for sure that you are trying to treat. If it is bone spurs then treating your hands for arthritis will do not good.

There are two supplements that I have found to be effective in treating mild arthritis. Here are links to information about them.
