QuestionWhen I wake up in morning, my left leg specially at the back of knee hurts badly. Pain moves from knee to shin to ankle and then to middle of left thigh. I feel tightness in thigh.
It makes me limp and I cannot straigten my leg. Later with walk it feels better. I can jog also with it and it feels better with that. But they day I take full rest, it hurts either lying down or sitting.
I tried Advil, Neproxin but nothing works. I showed to a Physiatrist but she could not pin point any thing.
Shuold I go to an Orthopaedic specialist now? What looks to you my problem would be as per symptoms.
Thanking you in advance.
AnswerDear Jeff
I am not a doctor so I really can't say what exactly is going on with your leg. You would be best off to go to your primary doctor, get an x-ray and then if necessary have him or her refer you out to an orthopedist. Orthos deal with bones, not muscles and if you have torn a ligament or tendon, the ortho will not be able to help you.
