Hello maam,

My girlfriend had a horrible hip injury happen to her during her collegiate career last year. I dont know the exact name of the injury, but it is the same injury sustained by bo jackson. She may need hip replacement in the future and she has to undergoe her second surgery within a year. any advice?

I am not sure what happened to Bo Jackson, but my advice to your girlfriend would be to have her doctor send her for physical therapy so she can get exercises to keep the muscles of the hip as strong as possible.  

In addition, when she goes for opinions for a hip replacement, she needs to make sure that her orthopedist is the best she can find.  Never take one opinion.  Get several opinions, and find the doctor that does the surgery on a regular basis.
