Thank you for quickly replying to my email.  I appreciate your advice.

I do plan to have a check up in August so I will show my doctor then.  If it were a serious illness, would I have been having more symptoms by now?  Being that it's been there for almost five years, if it were cancerous, I would be very ill by now, which I am not.  Is that reasonable?

I think that is very reasonable and I would not get too excited about something that is not painful and has not changed in the past five years.

That location is an uncommon place to get cancer or a blood clot.

I would still suggest that you mention it to your MD and hopefully that will give you even more piece of mind.
