Question
Hi there. My name is Ryan Groenewald.I have been suffering from a sharp pain in my coccyx region for quite a while now. If i am at college& seated for quite a while& then i stand up suddenly, that region really pains,it stings. I do a pretty physical job& maybe something broke whilst i was handling something incorrectly. What do you suggest i do? Are there any measures i could take into my own hands? Look forward to reply, Regards, Ryan Groenewald.

Answer
Ryan,

It could be several things. Try to get in and see a good PT in your area. You may also want to talk with your MD first.

Low back pain can refer pain in this area and you can have problems with your tail bone. There are also non-musculoskeletal problems that can cause pain in this region.
