QuestionWhat's wrong? Should I see a doctor? (I don't have money or insurance) I'm 20 and lately have had extreme pain in my joints. Specifically: Shoulder pain, it feels as if in the bone. I can't lift my left arm there's just always pain in my left shoulder and at night when I sleep and try to straighten my arm theres extreme pain from my shoulder to my elbow and the elbow starts hurting A LOT. The pain is a shooting/burning pain, and as if my shoulder and elbow locked up. It's basically the same thing with my hip. It hurts to straighten my leg cuz the burning shooting pain will travel from my hip to my calf (right leg), and my knee will hurt really bad. The pain is also worse at night, or after getting up from sitting of laying down. And then there's my wrist, a problem I've had much longer, the pain is from my right wrist to my thumb, and it often swells. The shoulder pain started over a year ago, but it used to be on the right shouder (now it's the left), and the hip pain started earlier this year and went away for a while and came back MUCH worse. Now all three pains are living together and I can't live with them!
AnswerDear Cristina
I am not an expert on shoulder pain, my expertise is in hips so I can't really help you other than to tell you that I have been having the exact same problem with my shoulder, except I feel that mine is slipping out of the socket and, yes, I have a lot of pain too. In fact, my shoulder, arm and wrist are hypersensitive and I can't even have clothing on my arm because it hurts. So I would suggest that you do the same as I am doing and make an appointment with your doctor. I have an appointment in about two weeks.
Since your pain is in various joint areas, I would highly suggest that you somehow go to a clinic or see a doctor.
