QuestionHi, I am a 54 year old male and have ridden bikes for years as a form of exercise. Lately I have developed severe tailbone pain after riding. I did fall twice this year on ice and one of those times I landed on my back but did not experience pain in my tailbone like I do now after riding. The pain gets better with rest and ibuprofen but comes right back again after a hard ride. I am a hotel manager and sit at a desk for a good part of the day. My question is that if I have broken my tailbone how should it be treated.............thanks Keith
AnswerDear Keith
Unfortunately I cannot diagnose if a bone is broken or not over the internet. You would have to see your doctor so he can run some X-Rays or an MRI. A break or fracture of your nature would only be visible on a test such as the ones above.
Please see your doctor.
