Hello Sir,
My Name is Dinesh.  I belong to India. One of my friend has arthritis problem and Doctor recommended her for hips replacement because doctor said that both of her hips have been diffused. So,therefore both hips have to be changed and life of those hips will be 15 years? So, Sir I want to know is there any other treatment to make my friend fine with operation.  If operation is necessary then would it be successful.

The life of artificial hips are longer in this day and age than before.  My first set of hips lasted almost 20 years.  If your friend has arthritis and the doctor is suggesting a hip replacement, I can tell you that arthritis will not get better, it only gets worse.  So the doctor may be right.

You might want to go to one more doctor in a large hospital in your area for a second opinion to be sure there is no other alternative.
