Question
Hi Dr Durnin

For the past few months I have been having a burning, tingling kind of pain in my left shoulder blade, at times my left arm tingles with it.  The pain was intermittent at first, but appears to be getting worse.

I should mention that I had an unstable fracture of the T12 vertebrae in 1995 which was corrected with spinal fusion from T11 ?L1 and 4 pedicle screws. However, I am assuming that the injury is too low to be affecting my shoulder?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Regards
Leigh

Answer
Hi Leigh,

It is too low, your problem is most likely a cervical disc bulge easily decompressed with towel traction. Find a highly recommended DC that utilizes this technique and you should be symptom free in a week or two. If you need help finding a qualified physician, I would be happy to help. An MRI will confirm the diagnosis.

Thank you for your question Leigh, I hope this helps!
