QuestionI have been walking on the treadmill for exercise. Recently I have started to get this pain on the top of my foot just at the bend that goes up to my shin. It has become so severe that I am unable to continue walking and have to end my treadmill exercise. It occurs in both feet/ankles. I have tried stretching before I begin walking - but it does not help. I can't imagine what is causing such an odd pain. It has been happening for a little while now and usually I continue to walk and it goes away..........today it became to overwhelming painfull I had to stop. It continued to hurt for about 45 minutes after getting off of the treadmill. Any idesa, suggestions?? Thank you
AnswerHi Adrienne
Although this is not my area of expertise, I can take a guess at your question, but please see your doctor for a diagnosis.
I don't think this is bone pain. It sounds to me as if you have pulled a muscle or ligament. If I were you, I'd stop the treadmill until your doctor can diagnose your problem. You might want to ask for an MRI to ensure the diagnosis is correct.
I hope things work out well.
