Question
I had a total hip replacement 8-12-2013 and I still cannot walk with out severe pain.(It feels like my hip is going to come right through my side). My insurance no longer has the doctor that did my total hip replacement in it's plan so I had to make an appointment with a new orthopedic surgeon. He thinks the rod that was placed in my leg isn't stationary and the movement is causing me the pain. BUT, He wants me to wait TWO more months before he will do a bone scan. I am in such pain, and can't understand the wait? Can you respond please.

Answer
Dear Shirley,

This Orthopedic Chicago Podiatrist located in West Loop 60661,Roscoe Village 60618, Ukranian Village 60622, Elmhurst 60126 & Bartlett 60103 says...

As much as you want an answer-best to ask him. Perhaps he feels there can be more healing. Sometimes an insurance company may require you to wait a year.
Hope this helps & Good Luck!
