QuestionI am 60 years old. about 3 weeks ago, i slipped on ice and landed on my left knee. i did not have immediate pain, but as time went on i feel a sharp pain in the back of my knee and paint at times in my knee when i bear down on my left foot.the pain is certainly less than two weeks ago but still not gone. the pain is not constant but if i stand a lot (especially with both feet together - as if at attention) the pain increases. i wear a neoprene knee brace and wrap my calf with an ace bandage on my left foot. that seems to help a lot. are there exercises you can recommend so that i can strengthen the sore parts and relieve the pain?

For your knee pain. Sorry, but I can't recommend any exercises, since I don't know the cause of the pain & exercise will probably make it worse. For know use PRICE.
Protection, Rest, Ice, Compression & elevation for any throbbing or swelling. Sound like you're already doing protection & compression.
After the pain is gone try gentle knee exercises, .You can Google a ton of them & try them slowly. Of they cause any pain, stop immediately & follow up with a health care provider.
Hope this helps & Good Luck!
