QuestionMy wife has got an injury when she fell on ground on a rainy day, immediately she seek doctor they took Ex-Ray of that hand and declared that there is a dislocation. The incidence took place in the evening on 6th June, '09, and the next day doctor (an Orthopedic surgeon) set the elbow at its correct place and then put pluster, the Ex-ray after that placement looks perfect. The pluster will be remain for 30 days. My question is, will it be perfectly set in future or make any problem may occur.
AnswerSupid,
She would benefit from some type of physiotherpy after her elbow is removed from the plaster cast. This way she will have some professional guidance on getting the arm back in good condition.
It will be important she be able to fully bend and extend the elbow once she is allowed to by the doctor.
If she does not exercise it correctly after the cast is removed she could have some limitations with the elbow.
Otherwise she should be fine and the fact they did not have to operate on the arm leads me to believe everything will work out fine.
Just be sure to follow the doctors orders and not rush the healing process.
