Lump just above ankle, severe pain, numbness from knee down throughout foot

Question
I have had weird, greenish colored bruising and significant pain around my ankle and my lower calf on my right leg for about 4 months. After first noticing a lump growing just above my outer ankle area, I went to see my doctor.  She ran blood tests and had me get an ultrasound, to potentially rule out blood clots, which they supposedly did.  She put in for an ortho consult with the tumor specialist, but the military patient call center messed up my appointment and I did not get in to see him...after waiting a month for the appointment.  In the mean time, the lump has grown to about twice the size and has been confirmed to be surrounded in blood...the lump area now is in a sort of band around the front of my leg just above the ankle, like it is spreading.  I have a lump under my foot, just inside the arch area and a small one in the center of my calf (back of my leg). M I am losing feeling in my foot and have had loss of feeling in my leg from my knee on down through my ankle.  The pain in my leg has become severe enough that over the counter pain meds do not help and I can barely sleep except her and there out of pure exhaustion.  I am having dificulty walking at all.  I called again for an appointment, but it will be a bit over a month until I can get one.  I think I am beyond the waiting point, but all anyone can tell me to do is to go to the emergency room if I feel it necessary to be seen right away.  I am hoping for advice on whether I should just go to the emergency room, with all that entails and hope for real help...or wait to hopefully actually see this specialist and hope nothing more serious happens in the meantime.  Thank you.
