Bending of knees

Question
Please intimate whether in
 knee arthritis knees can be bent and up to what degree.Due to my old age I do exercise and Yogas and  exercises and yogas involve standing and bending of knees..Please advise.With thanks

Always do gentle warm-ups by moving the knees in different directions- including knee circles if you  can. As long as the exercises are gentle and you are not heavy-then try to bend as much as possible-after your warm-up. Do not force-but gently push to increase movement. Do not hold Yoga positions too long which appear to aggravate the knees. Gentle motion helps increase lubrication-while lack of movement decreases lubrication of the joint fluid. Do these gentle exercises daily-if able to.
