As a male in my 40s who has suffered from chronic back pain for many many years, I got to the point in my life that I had to make a decision. Do I continue with this nagging irritating backache for the rest of my life, slowly wearing me down, or do I grasp the bull by the horns and start to take some action to resolve the problem.
I did a fair bit of research on the Internet into the various types of orthopedic mattress and memory foam mattresses that were available within my budget, and found that for around $400 I could buy a high quality mattress that would be comfortable and supportive to my frame. I checked out some memory foam mattress reviews, particularly including the Restonic’s memory foam mattress and decided to make a purchase.
Before reading these reviews I Knew nothing about memory foam mattresses. I’ve heard of the concept of memory foam but was not really aware of the application for bedding. I actually searched the Amazon website where purchasers place their own reviews of the products they bought. I like this idea as it meant that the reviews were all objective and by real people with experience of the products.
You’ll probably find that you are overwhelmed by the amount of mattresses available. There are memory foam, latex, and the traditional spring coiled mattress, a great product but I was looking for something new. The memory foam models appealed to me because I could use them on my existing bed frame or flat on the floor.
The good quality mattresses are all constructed in a similar wide with three distinctive types of foam layer together to produce a mattress that is supportive, resilient and very comfortable. The general design involves a 10 inch thick dense memory foam place with a thin poly layer on top, culminating in a 3 1/2 inch thick viscoelastic foam top with a 5 pound density, an important minimum standard to seek when buying a mattress.
The mattress that I purchased has been a fantastic investment and has really made sleep a far more enjoyable and pain free activity. I noticed within days how supportive the mattress was, and what was really great about it is when my partner moved around I didn’t roll into the middle of the bed. I no longer wake up with a stiff aching back in the morning and my quality of life has improved no end.
Having been sleeping on this mattress now for couple of months I would thoroughly recommend that anybody who suffers from that dull nagging backache takes a look online and considers the memory foam mattress for their home. It’s a great investment and will ask you for many years. Highly recommended.
I suffered from back pain for most of my adult life. An orthopedic mattress made a huge difference to my life, and can help you too. Read my mattress reviews, and this click for a review of the bedrest pillows, a great product offering neck and back support.
