Do you find it hard to reach behind your head and back?
If so, your shoulder muscles may be hurt and in some cases maybe even torn.
Your shoulder discomfort may have started slowly from sitting in front of a computer system for long time periods, a long road trip without a rest of a stretch, or doing more than your normal physical activity.
As your muscles are worked past their regular range of motion, they may fatigue and tighten up causing discomfort.
Once your tendons are irritated, any prior shoulder injury may trigger some rotator cuff discomfort. This sequence of events can cause something called icy shoulder that causes a lot of discomfort as the muscles remain swollen and can even trigger issues with sleep.
Deep tissue massage helps soothe the fatigued muscles and straightens them out so you can relieve your shoulder discomfort. Massage treatment for shoulder discomfort increases your blood flow so you can recover much faster, returns your full range of movement and ends your discomfort faster.
After your massage therapy, you will be given a list of workouts you can do in your home that'll help you recover as well as avoid future injuries. The workouts you will practice as part of your icy shoulder therapy will help support the rotator cuff and keep your muscle tissues from absorbing too much stress.
Find a therapist with deep tissue massage treatment experience if you have shoulder discomfort for more than a number of days or you are having difficulty performing activities like you have in the past.
Typically your discomfort has absolutely nothing to do with your actual joint, but with the frameworks bordering that joint.
The muscles that border your shoulder permit the movement. When any of the muscles or locations around them, become irritated and/or inflamed, you will suffer overall discomfort.
Oftentimes the swelling is triggered by a past injury, that could be as simple as lifting a storage box or overuse during a weekend worth of yard work, and those past injuries can trigger your joint irritation..
Leg Pain
Your leg discomfort is usually due to muscle cramps.
These cramps can be triggered by overuse, keeping your leg in one position for a long period of time, or just strain.
Past injuries can sometimes trigger leg discomfort from an overstretched muscle or tendon which can be confused with thinking it's a new injury.
Knee Pain
Many people experience knee discomfort at some point in their lives. The knee is one of the most used and overlooked joints in our bodies.
Knee discomfort can start from so many different areas such as an injury from sports and leisure activity, overuse, or could have happen from stepping off a ladder and landing on your foot wrong. A few years I had an issue with my ladder when I was coming down from the top of a short 6 foot ladder. My left foot was caught in a tarp three rungs from the floor and my right foot just coming down at the wrong angle. Of course that happens shortly after I thought, "How could anyone get injured from going up and down a ladder?"
In all cases of leg, knee and shoulder discomfort, deep tissue massage can help in loosening your tight muscles and increase the blood flow which also increases the oxygen flow which helps carry away any toxins or decaying cells.
