You have ankle pain and insist on playing a round of golf. Is there a Cure? Although we are told how important it is to do your stretching exercise for our arms and back before starting a round because flexibility is essential to a powerful swing, we tend to forget about how much torque and muscle power the feet and ankles must withstand. Make it your golden rule that as you are waiting in the cart use these spare moments to flex, point, and circle your feet so you'll warm up the ligaments that support and maintain stability around your ankles. If you regularly experience ankle pain, remember the acronym of RICE, short for Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation.

Try using an ice wrap for 20 minutes before and after each round. It is crucially important that you take extra care of your ankles if they were recently injured or you feel reoccurring pain.

Do not drive the cart, let your golfing partner or caddy drive and elevate your feet while you sit in the cart between holes. Wearing shoes with extra padding can also help reduce ankle pain.

Therapy Improving your control and balance, as you swing, for a smooth transition of your weight as it shifts, are must for a good game. Work to achieve that whenever you are playing golf but especially so when you are experiencing ankle pain.

This is because at the top of your swing you will have most of your body weight resting on your trailing leg, then as your swing unwinds there occurs a re rapid weight shift in a forward direction putting all your weight onto your other leg.

There is a lot of great Arthritis joint pain relief cream available but some pain relief creams are better than others. When looking for a high quality arthritis pain relief product chose a cream, gel or ointment for better targeting of your osteoarthritis areas and symptoms.

Creams are superior because they focus addressing the very precise source of discomfort. Creams work quicker too as they penetrate right down to where pain is located.
