Ramdev yoga for back pain- a safe mode of pain relief

Due to long hours of sitting in front of computers or remaining inactive most of the times, large numbers of people in present day arena are suffering from back pain and specially the pain in lower back. Sometimes, the pain is so severe that the concerned person is even not able to get up and walk few steps. The problem may become worse with advancement in age. It is due to the reason that the spine and the associated vertebrae keep on weakening as the age advances. It is due to deterioration going in the cells and tissues of the muscles and bones.

To get rid of back pain, most people take pain-killers or such other medicines and drugs. However they hardly know that such medicines cast an ill-effect on their overall body health. An apt and safe way of getting relieved of back pain is the execution or practice of certain yoga poses or asanas.
Keeping in mind the severity of the problem of back pain, Baba Ramdev Ji has especially formulated and developed some yoga poses so as to help millions of people suffering from this condition. The most important yoga poses for back pain as suggested by Swami Ramdev Ji are as follows. These are collectively referred to as Ramdev yoga for back pain.

Ramdev yoga for back pain

Majariasana- It is done by moulding your body in the form of a tabletop on the ground while keeping your neck straight. Then head is bent down and upper back is raised. The shoulders are to be stretched straight towards the ceiling. The hands are fixed straight and firm on the ground. This pose is continued for few breaths and then released. It offers effective relief from upper back pain.

Pavanmuktasana- It is done by lying down on floor and keeping both legs straight on the ground with your hands on the sides with palms facing the ground. The left leg is then lifted at an angle of 90 degrees and folded against the knee to be placed on the stomach. The hands are interlocked and pressed against the folded leg while raising the head so that you may touch your forehead. Same steps are repeated on the other side so as to get rid of pain in the lower back and shoulders.

Bitilasana- It is one of the most excellent asanas among Ramdev yoga for back pain. The body is moulded into a tabletop position while looking straight. Then chin is lifted up in such a way that your head is also bent upwards. The stomach and the navel are then pushed down while raising the tailbone and the buttocks. It is again beneficial in case of lower back pain.

There are some other exercises that can be done under Ramdev yoga for back pain such as Bhujangasana and

Kandharasana. The main aim of Ramdev yoga for back pain is to strengthen the muscles of your back and neck so that pain may be released automatically. Also it helps in stretching of the muscles of the back which in turn improves blood and oxygen flow to them. Consequently, you get relieved of pain.
