Back pain relief is an achievable goal, but it may seem a distant one now if you live with pain. This article will help you to ease some of your pain now and teach you the 3 essential steps for long term relief.
Most back pain no matter where it is, is created by muscle tension. Reducing muscle tension quickly can actually help reduce pain. But long term back pain relief still requires a bit more, not much but more to make sure every cause has been eliminated.
There are a few ways you can reduce muscle tension, stretching is the most commonly used, but this can also aggravate muscles that are very tight. To avoid this aggravation you can also use Acupressure.
Acupressure is not new, in fact it has been used for many years to help with pain relief. It isn't new age or a belief system, but a well documented technique that works. Worth a try if nothing has helped you so far.
However, not all techniques work including Acupressure which is why I always teach my clients 16 different ways to get relief from pain.
If you haven't used Acupressure before, you need to understand how to stimulate an Acupressure point:
* Press the point firmly, it may be tender so you can reduce the pressure if very tender.
* You can rub in a circle around the area, rub for 20 seconds, then relax.
* Repeat this 3 times with a 20-30 second break in between times.
* You can stimulate the point often during the day to help ease pain.
The point to stimulate is on the inside of your ankle, between your Achilles tendon (the large tendon of the calf muscle) and your inner ankle bone. Rubbing this point with a knuckle or fingertip helps with back pain no matter where it is.
Simply apply pressure to the point for 20 seconds and follow the steps listed above. The point will help reduce your pain and relax muscle tension.
Try it and see how you go, if you don't get relief then you will need to use other techniques to help ease pain. But as I said there are many simple techniques you can try to achieve temporary relief.
Long term back pain relief however, requires 3 simple steps.
The first step is actually the simplest in that it only takes a minute. The first step is working out which type of imbalance you have. The second step is removing pain. The last step is actually re-balancing your spine, removing the imbalance you detect in the first step. Now this may sound a difficult task, but all it requires is a few minutes each day (for most less than 20 minutes) until the spine re-balances - which can be in a matter of a week or few.
But use the technique above but make sure you apply the 3 steps above to get long lasting back pain relief - you'll have a new lease on life.
