There are various reasons for having back pain on the lower left back and it is important to remember that this form of pain can be caused due to kidney problems. It has been seen that these forms of back pain can have similar symptoms and back pain symptoms, which are caused by a kidney infection, have the exact same symptoms caused by a back problem. It should be remembered that if the lower back pain is caused by a kidney problem then immediate internal treatment is required.

Since the kidneys are located to the left and right side of the spine directly above your hips they easily cause pain in the back. The pain from a kidney infection usually occurs near this same general area and this can also spread outwards and complicate the diagnosis. It has been seen that most people describe the symptoms as a general tenderness or ache instead of pain but usually the stabbing pain may be related to back problems and not the kidneys.

The pain can be due to a kidney infection and it may also be resulting is some type of injury to the kidneys themselves. For example, the injury caused by a fall could compress one kidney impacting it and leading to damage. It has been seen that in addition to kidney pain, which may be caused by accident or injury, there are also symptoms associated with a kidney infection. The pain, which is caused by kidney infection, is common than that caused by physical trauma. But with the kidney infection there will often be other symptoms.

The symptoms that follow such infections include fever, pain while urinating or blood in the urine and various other symptoms also. If you think that you have symptoms of a kidney infection then it is best to consult a doctor to confirm the same. Delaying this pain or not ignoring this pain can lead to various kinds of health problems. Remember that if you a kidney infection, then some of the following symptoms can follow and these include fever, chills, backache and pain. Along with this nausea and tenderness near the infected kidney may also occur.

Usually the doctor diagnoses the condition through tests of kidney to determine the underlying problem of the pain and this is usually done through functioning or by a bacterial test. Basically there are two common types of kidney disorders and both of them have a different cause and thus the treatment and pain relief process also differs. These treatments include rest and antibiotics for the bacterial infections and the same usually lasts for several weeks. However there may be people having structural issues and they may require longer-term treatment.

You should never try to do the diagnosis of these pains yourself and make attempts to get the right information about your pain symptoms. It should be kept in mind that infection left untreated for many years can lead to catastrophic implications for the health and it can also lead to various other related health problems and thus create hassles for your mental and physical health.
