Brought about by events at the end of season 4, Bones returns for its fifth season on September 17 with Booth and Brennan struggling with the emotional fallout resulting from the change in their relationship. While that alone would make potentially great storylines, including the repercussions of Brennan’s request to have Booth father her child, the new season offers interesting plots set up for the other characters.
