What is a Mallet Finger?
Mallet finger can be the result of an objecting hitting an extended finger. The finger or thumb may not straighten and will become painful or swollen. This condition is also known as “baseball finger”.
Diagnosis and Examination
To receive a diagnosis, a qualified musculoskeletal expert will first take a medical history and conduct a physical exam. X-rays may be ordered to help determine if there is a fracture

This injury occurs by a sudden blow to the tip of an extended finger.
Treatment Options
