Many symptoms of primary bone cancer are caused due to other conditions. These conditions are very common than that of bone cancer. However, it takes a long time to diagnose bone cancer. Given below are the signs and symptoms of primary bone cancer:

Tenderness or pain in the affected area of the tumor
This tenderness will give a rise to a pain which will stay for a long time and will not go away soon. If a person exercises, the pain will usually worsen a lot. A person will feel worse at night when his muscles are being relaxed. In children, these symptoms can be mistaken as a sprain or a muscle pull. If a bone pain is being experienced by a child or a teenager which persists during the night, it is better if their parents get them checked by a general practitioner.

Joints
If the growth of the tumor is near the joints, the movements will be affected greatly. This is considered to be one of the most common symptoms of primary bone cancer. Sometimes, pressure symptoms may also be experienced. The tumors will grow in size and will cause many types of pressure symptoms. For example, the tumors will stick out of the joints. If the organ is near the tumor, it will cause irreparable damage to it and will be pressed down.

Nerves
Sometimes, inflammation, tingling sensation and numbness can be caused as the cancerous tumors have a great effect on the nerves of the patients. This will mainly happen if the tumors are very close to the surface of the skin.

Fractures
Even minor traumas can be caused due to fractures. This will happen especially when a person is suffering from primary bone cancer. This will mainly be caused when the malignant activity will cause the bones to weaken.

Swelling around the affected bone area
If the tumor is very large, the swelling will not show up. Feeling or seeing the lump is not possible if the affected bone lies very deep inside the body tissues.

Reduced movement
If cancer is near the joint, moving the joints will become very difficult. This can affect the movement of the whole limb. If the bones of the legs are affected, limp may be caused. If there is a presence of tumor near the spine, numbness and weakness can be caused. The nerves will also become pressed.

Thus, the symptoms of primary bone cancer are not difficult to spot. If a person has a proper knowledge about these symptoms, he can fight bone cancer easily.
