Cancer that will begin in the bones is very rare. Many children are affected by it every year than the adults. Researchers are not aware of the exact causes of bone cancer in children. However, they may associate it to family predisposition in many cases.
Osteosarcoma
This is very common and is mainly found in the growing bone tissues. This type of bone cancer is very common. More than 80 percent of the cases are diagnosed with such type of cancer. It is mainly diagnosed in the distal femur. This is a part of the thigh bone which is very close to the knee. The occurrence can also be found in the proximal humerus. It is the upper arm bone which has an attachment to the shoulder.
Ewing抯 sarcoma
The occurrence of this is usually found in the immature tissues of the bone marrow. This is basically a group of 4 different kinds of cancer. This is also known as the Ewing抯 family. This can occur at young ages. However, children aged between 10 and 20 years of age.
Although there are no specific causes of bone cancer in children, there are many risk factors that have been identified. Various patients come in large numbers with cancer in a large population. They try to find the differences in the behaviors and characteristics between the individuals who develop cancer and the ones who do not.?

It is a hereditary mutation of cancer susceptibility gene due to which the risk of other cancers also increases. There is also a Rothmund-Thomson syndrome. This disorder is rarely inherited.?This usually occurs in infancy. Other is the hereditary retinoblastoma.?However, it is not necessary that the risk factors are passed from the parents to the children.
